I had an interview for a sales position on the 6th of Feb…?

The interview went really well. The hiring person stated that "I can’t offer the job now because there are more steps to the hiring process." And also said that it was a good idea to take me to the next step. The next step was a test online, which I did, and told him that I had completed it, however, I have gotten no response to my e-mail. He also stated that they wanted to hire a person within four weeks and that I would have to meet with a second person once he travels up to the region, which I believe would be the final step…Does this look promising?

I believe so, it seems that he is going into detail. I would place a call rather than an e-mail (it’s more personal). Ask if the position is still open and when you may get an answer. Tell them you are still interested.

yeah you should called before now….most employers dont get annoyed if you call once a week to check on your application but yet some do so be persistant it will pay off

If the job is not well paying, I would not be looking forward to it. If I go to a job interview more than once, either I am hired or I make sure there is lots of competition from other companies looking to hire me.

In some cases, especially sales positions, companies don’t get back to you on purpose to see how persistently you will follow up. If you are just sitting back and waiting to hear from them, they may not think you are "sales material."
