Keep A Close Eye On Your Competitors

As an Internet Marketer you already know how important it is to do research into your target market. You are able to choose a niche based on this. You also know that it’s important to learn all there is to know about that subject. You know that this is what it takes to really make it. Lots of internet marketers forget that their competition must be tracked and learned about, too. There isn’t a single niche that doesn’t have somebody doing business within it. This means that you have at least one counterpart out there who is trying to make as much money as you are. If you don’t study all there is to learn about these people, you’re not likely to make it. There is so much to learn from studying those who are going up against you. You can use the following devices for learning what your competition is up to. 

Watch your competitors’ videos on YouTube and subscribe to their channels. If you sell affiliate products online, you can get quite a bit from this method. You can do searches for the products that you want to sell. Type in words or phrases about your niche and search for them as well. Watch some of the videos and study them. Make note of what you do like and what you do not like and then apply those to your own business. Keep in mind that videos will be more effective if they are professionally done. 

Twitter’s search engine. You should know that Twitter has a search engine that’s all theirs. As I’m writing this article, Twitter is just behind Google as the top search engine. You will be able to use this search function to get a good look at your competition. Just as you use Twitter, the search feature is great for finding out what’s going on with your niche and also what your competitors are up to. The nice thing about this, as opposed to the actual Twitter, is that you will get all of your search results in the same screen. If this wasn’t available to you, you’d spend most of your time manually searching for your competition and then seeing what people are talking about. 

CI Radar is something that can give you in depth information about your competitors. It’s also a good resource for finding more customers. If you are an internet marketer who sells to other businesses, you will find this very useful. It gives you a great deal of insight into what businesses are doing, their problems and how they are seen by others. This gives you a way to gather a variety of useful data about other companies in your field. If you don’t feel comfortable digging up facts about others, this tool is something that should put you at ease. 

It will probably feel a little gross to be researching your competition so intensely. If you were to aim this much attention at a single person you’d probably be called a stalker! The fact is, however, that it’s something you have to do when you are in business, either on or offline. You simply have to keep track of what the competition is doing so you can offer something superior.
